Financial Wellbeing

What is Financial Wellbeing?

Firstly, money itself does not make us happy, it’s how we use it that matters. Secondly, the largest contributor to our wellbeing is the quality of our social relationships.

Harvard study.

There are five parts to financial wellbeing:

  1. A clear path to identifiable objectives
  2. Control of daily finances
  3. Ability to cope with financial shocks
  4. Having financial options
  5. Clarity and security for those we leave behind

So much more than products.

The phrase “financial wellbeing” has become popular among financial institutions. Unfortunately, certain individuals appear more interested in selling financial products than making people happier.

Financial products are suitable under certain circumstances, such as when adjusting to a financial shock. However, we believe that financial wellbeing is a much broader topic.

Here at Liberate, we believe it is better for our clients to have financial freedom. We define this as ‘the ability to choose how you spend your time and with whom you spend your time with, without worrying about money’.

Financial wellbeing can benefit you in many ways…
